STDLE - Security Training Directly Linked to Employment
The Security Training Directly Linked to Employment is a 6 week program.The first 4 weeks participants will be in a class environment followed by a 2 week field work placement for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The program will meet the needs of the participants by offering opportunities as a Security Guard with employers across the city.
Upon completion of the program participants will have the following learning outcomes:
A valid Security Guard License (issued by the Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services)
WHMIS Certificate
First Aid / CPR
Clear understanding of the Security Industry
Resume

To be eligible for the STDLE program participants must be:
Referred by a TESS worker
Be at least 18 years (19 if considering work in a licensed establishment)
Entitled to work in Canada
Possess a clean criminal record
Have a mailing address in Ontario
Be able to complete all screening and application forms
