PED - CSR
(Customer Service Representative)

This 8 Pre Employment program is for clients with the desire to work in the Customer Service field, Hospitality, Retail, Travel and Tourism etc.
Participants will work in groups and individually with counsellors.

The first 4 week of the program will consist of life and employment skills including industry specific skills:
  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Retail Sales Training
  • Smart Serve Certification
This will be followed by a 4 week placement allowing the client to develop workplace skills.

PED - Age Advantage 45+

This 8 week Pre Employment Program is for the more mature clients that are looking to enter or re-enter the workforce.
Participants will work in groups and individually with counsellors to determine Career options.

The first 4 weeks of the program will consist of life and employment skills including skills related to this particular age group:
  • Professional Image
  • Dealing with Change
  • Understanding Today's Job Market
This will be followed up with a 4 week placement allowing the client to develop workplace skills.

All PED programs will consist of 4 weeks of workshops in life and employment skills:
  • Computer Skills - MS Office, keyboarding
  • Resume and Cover Letter writing
  • Job Search Skills
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Employee Rights in the Workplace - Health and Safety, WHMIS
  • Accessing community resources
  • Effective Communication
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Budgeting
  • Personal Hygiene
